Welcome from the Head
Welcome to the Hun Middle School! We are excited to offer you a glimpse of this vibrant and close-knit community, where our learners are challenged, nurtured and supported as they progress through a truly unique period in their lives. With size limited to 100 children in the Middle School, faculty and students genuinely know one another. This sense of belonging allows each child’s individuality to flourish.
Here at The Hun School, we know that Middle School students are active, enthusiastic and curious about their world, and our academic program reflects these wonderful attributes. Our curriculum emphasizes collaboration and critical thinking, and encourages students to relate what they learn to their lives and the world around them. Experiential learning, recognition of learning styles and developmental stages, and exposure to a rich and engaging curriculum are hallmarks of our program. At each level, children are encouraged to take risks, to fully engage in their own learning process, and to celebrate their individual successes.
Balance is an important value in our community, and in addition to our core academic courses, all students participate in the Arts, school-wide community service, and Athletics. The Advisory Program supports the emotional needs of our students, and student government and diverse Club offerings provide opportunities for exploration of new interests. Dedicated and caring faculty are not only teachers, but are also advisors, coaches and mentors, allowing students to interact with them in different contexts. Throughout, the cherished Hun School Principles of academic excellence, integrity, kindness, respect, and trust are integrated in all aspects of the program.
Reaching personal potential is our aspiration for every student. We encourage you to investigate our website, and more importantly, to come spend time with us on campus to experience The Hun Middle School.
