Student Government

Student Council

The Student Council is charged with ministering to the needs of the student body as a group. The Council is organized on a federal model. A President-General and Vice President-General, elected by the entire student body, plan and coordinate school-wide events. Each class (senior, junior, sophomore, and freshman) elects a President and Vice President for that class, responsible for class-building activities as well as class-specific events.

Events run by the Student Council and the classes include an annual Blood Drive, Spirit Week, Homecoming, a Talent Show, study sessions for midterms, and the Junior/Senior Prom. Student Council also serves, on a contingent basis, as the voice of the student body in School scheduling and policy-making. Members of the Student Council serve ex officio on several committees, including the School Life Committee of the Board of Trustees.
